The size of the company and the resulting investment of each party will depend of the potential of the targeted market, the ambition of the manager… JACQUET Metals and the manager can design jointly the budget of a profitable venture.

Different solutions are possible at the start up stage:

  • A Sales Unit (investment € 250,000) has no stock and no processing capacities. The full range of the JACQUET products is sold and most of the products sold are purchased from a Big unit (special products) and from the closest JACQUET service center (commodity products)
  • A Small Unit (investment € 500,000) stores a limited inventory (standard grades up to 50 mm thick) and provides efficient local service from its own profiling equipment (1 plasma or one water jet machine). The balance of the products sold are purchased from a Big unit (special products) and from the closest JACQUET midsize unit (commodity products)
  • A Midsize Unit (investment € 2,500,000) stores a larger inventory (standard grades up to 100 mm thick) and self produces all standard products from its own profiling equipment (several plasma, saw and water jet machines). The special products are purchased from a Big unit.
  • A Big Unit (investment € 5,000,000 to 15,000,000) stores the complete range of commodity and special products. That stock and the profiling equipment enable to supply both direct customers and the other JACQUET companies of smaller sizes.

The size of a JACQUET company is likely to evolve. A successful Sales Unit can become a service center, a Small Unit can grow up to a Midsize Unit …
